David Thomas Llangynwyd
« on: Monday 13 February 06 20:20 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find details about a David Thomas born c. 1978 in Llangynwyd. I have found him with his wife and children in later years but i have tried varous sites to attempt to locate his parents, with no luck. Any advice on how to trace him and his parents and/or siblings would be a huge help and greatly appreciated.

1881 - this was the only ref I could find with info given.  He is grandson to the family.  Do not know if he is yours.

RG11/5321 /Folio 63 /Pg 20
Merthyr Tydfil

David Thomas c1877 born Llangwyndd,
Address, 13 Ann St, Aberdare

You can also try searching these areas as they are only 0.5 miles from his birth place.  Link for reference.

Llanganoyd (or Llangynwyd)
Llangonwd (or Llangynwyd)

There is a David Thomas and family born Llanganoyd, living in Llangwynd lower, but he was born 1880. Here is the ref if you are interested.

RG11/5327 /Folio 112 /Pg 2
Bridgend

Hope this helps you

Hi there,
Thanks for that but the David i am looking for was on various census with his wife Caroline and children living at  Llangynwyd and then later at Cwm yr isca farm. I cant seem to find a marriage for them or anything prior to 1851. As i am in Scotland its hard for me to get anywhere with it till i get home next year. Thanks for trying though!!!!!
 ;)

Thats them!!! I have so many people by the same name on my tree that i get confused from time to time!I have the other children they had afterwards too as they had 12 in total but i cant seem to find Caroline's maiden name or either of their parents. Thomasg from off this site has a william Thomas born 1796 that we are trying to find out if he is a sibling of David as both were born a few years apart and their childrens names are very similar. In later years they lived at adjoining farms (cefn ydfa previously owned by the maid of cefn ydfa and cwm yr isca previously owned by Anthony Maddoc).
Thanks for your help!! ;)
