Hi Ticker,
              Chapman St, there was a lot of Irish in that area in the 71/81 census. Most of the females worked in the starch works, Reckitt & Coleman.

Just wondered.  My Irish ancestors lived in Mill Street in Hull where there were also large numbers of other Irish families.
