It could be... I have my David Rymer, married to Janet Scott Doig.  Not sure who Lumsden is, unless it's his daughter, Janet and her married name.. I haven't looked at her at all.

David Rymer & Janet Scott Doig's son David was born 20th December,1855 at Dairsie. 1855 Certificates (1st year of official registration) are a mine of information. These give parent's names, age, place of birth, number of other children born, whether living or deceased. Well worth checking out. (Scotlandspeople)
Finally, the David Rymer/Janet Lumsden that NorrieG found, married 14th Aug,1855 at Abdie. (Anc**try) so not your David's daughter Janet.
There is a marriage for a Janet Rymer & John Forgan at Dairsie, 1905.

Hi, I realise this post is quite old but it was actually my family that had Todhall.  I think around the time you’re looking at it would of belonged to the Bell’s. They had property in Edinburgh aswell and a seed merchants company. If you go down to the old Kirkyard you’ll find the family headstone there. They also paid for one of the stained glass windows.

Thank you... I'm still looking for more information on my Rymer side of the family.  Is there anything about David Rymer and his wife Janet Doig that you can tell me?

Cheers
Sandy
