Hiya Jakky,

Holyhead to Dunloaghaire

Here is another event that may interest some people when they are in Dublin..Paddy Liddy's Walking Tours of Dublin http://www.walkingtours.ie/index.cfm/action/showhomepage/userid/1DE876EA-6F7D-45C2-96BFCE64CC5A4452.htm

Ticker, I have been discussing this event with another Irish RootsChat member on the phone and we feel this should be left as it is until next year.

All the Best,

Chris

Hiya Ticker,

Are you thinking of June, July or August this year?

Chris

I'm not organised enough to be thinking of a specific month Chris!  ;)  How about Autumn?  :D

Great idea Chris,

We would love to attend but the sticky bun will be a problem to bring from Australia.
In all seriousness B & B would be the way for us to go.
We would like to camp out, the only problem would be the leprechauns. Ha! Ha! ;D
Count myself and husband in.

Thanks Chris,

Hiya Ticker,

What acreage is your Slight Mound Covered in Grass Now! It is near to Dublin isn't it ??? Would it be worthwhile including it in a list of tours available when the proposed Irish Meet takes place ??? Will you have got your lawnmower and cut the grass by then ??? If the place is overgrown with grass it might not be worthwhile organising a tour to such a site unless you would like an organised work party to make the place neat and tidy :D

All the Best, Chris

Hi Chris

Yes - the site is near Dublin. Its in Tymon Park itself which is in South Dublin I think. Moscan has very kindly helped me with researching the place. Seriously I would love to visit the site if it fits in with the itinerary.

Hiya Ticker,

Would you have the time to study these images carefully between now and June, July or August of next year so that you could give us a guided tour of the South Dublin Area ??? Anne, would you like to assist Ticker with that project ??? I would like to thank you for posting the images on this board. I am sure most of members who will be attending the meet will look forward to a fascinating tour. :D There may be a large crowd interested in the South Dublin touir..it might be necessary to hire a coach but I am sure Ticker, Anne and yourself will not charge for your services as you are members of Rootschat. The coach driver will probably be prepared to act as an assistant guide if you are willing to pay for his lunch. "One should always seize the opportunity when it arises" :D

Sounds good to me Chris.  Maybe we should make it a two week tour to make sure we get time to see all the Tymon sites/sights!  ;)
