Was there a 1900/1911 census for Waterford
« on: Wednesday 22 February 06 15:33 GMT (UK) »

I'm looking for my g/father, Thomas Morrissey who lived in tramore county waterford, he married

Mary Harney at the church of the holy cross in tramore possibly around 1906/8.

If any one has access to any census or listing for that area and could be of help in finding the

marriage or any children born to them, it would be just great.

    Thank's in anticipation.

    Tom.

Hi TOM

I also have a notice on this sight concerning this family.  My notice reads.
Harney/Morrissey of Crobally
Please can someone fill me in on theses poeple, as I believe they are my relitives.  Mary Harney and ? Morrissey, they married at Tranmore, and then lived in Crobally.
If you hae any information I would be delighted to hear from you, as I don't know much about this side of my family.  My Grandfather and Grandmother were Minnie and Maurice Macgrath, his relitives were farmers in Killadangon, Dungarvan.  I believe there names were Harney.

Regards
Maggie

Hi there,

I've just found your thread, after trawling the net, following a recent discovery of the following:

My Great Great Grandfather was Maurice Harney from the Dunhill area and he was married to Julia Landers, who I believe to be Mary's parents.

I noticed that your thread is from a while ago, so hopefully you're still looking for family links?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,

Patrick Harney

Hi Tom,

I hope all is well with yourself?

Are you still looking for information on the Harney's?

I discovered something recently about my Granddad Patrick (your Mary's brother), it was part of a census carried out by the Free State Army in 1922, to confirm numbers.

I've since discovered that Patrick and their brother Maurice, were in the British Army prior to 1922.

I also seem to remember yourself mentioning something about being related to the Danaher's from Fethard, apologies if I'm confusing yourself with someone else.

Hopefully speak to you soon.

Kind regards,

Pat Harney
