Looking for Alma Mary Elizabeth Bond

I Have the marriage certificate of my Great Grandmother. ALMA MARY ELIZABETH BOND. It says that she was born in Ireland, but not where. In each of the census, and her Marriage certificate she gives a different age, so I am unable to be certain of her year of birth as well.

Her father was a GEORGE BOND, he was a soldier.

Is there someone who can tell me where to look for her birth. She is the hardest of all my family to find, and any help you can give me will be truly appreciated.

If she was born post 1864, you can search for her birth in the Dublin GRO indexes or for some years, at your local family history centre.

Hi Phyllis,

First I would look for George Bond in the Griffiths Valuation to try and narrow down the county. If he were a soldier, this may prove trickey as they moved around a lot.

Otherwise, I suspect the family was not catholic with a name like Bond. Do you know? If not, you may find George's marriage in the non-catholic marriage indexes post 1845 which are available in your local family history centre or at the GRO in Dublin.
