1901 census
« on: Wednesday 01 March 06 13:56 GMT (UK) »
would it be possible for anyone to lookup the following person:

John Twomey, Blarney Street, Cork City - he's listed as head of household and it would really make my day if he was born circa 1871

thanks

My family lived just off Blarney St and are listedin both the 1901 and 1911 censes, which has been very valuable in giving me necessary info to build a bigger picture.  I was up Blarney St last Friday night.  It is an area I like a lot and know well.  It would have been a great place to live back then, as it was at the very centre of life in the Northside of Cork.

Gerard,

many thanks for your assistance, unfortuantely he's not the right John.
however maybe you could help me with some advice?

this is my first foray into Irish census returns and i'm not finding it quite as easy to locate people in them as i do the England & Wales ones. Is there an index of any sort to the 1901 & 1911 census returns? It looks like my family moved from Cork to Newry at some point - i know they were in Newry in 1909 but finding them before that is proving elusive.

thanks once again for your help, it's much appreciated

Lynton
