Hello Caz,
I've not come across any "Redhead" connections to this point in my research, but that doesn't mean there aren't any. Do you have any additional information about the "Cubbon" in your tree-like first name etc.

Good Luck

Hello Caz,

I've done very well with my Cubbon/Cubbin research-of cause it's never enough and never ending  :) The people using the Manx Genealogy noticeboard have always been prepared to help and the Manx Notebook is a treasure trove of information.
I will contact a Manx relative to inquire as to whether there is a Redhead link-there probably is somewhere if we go back far enough...

Hello Cubby,

I'm doing my OH's family tree and I 've found a Jane Cubbon married to a John Kinvig. Still trying to connect the dots and make sure I've got it right. Just started doing research on the Isle of Man part of the family.

Hello mab,
I'm afraid I can't readily identify the names you listed. Were they from Arbory and are they the same couple marrying in Arbory in 1803?
I do have some Kinvig connections but do not have the info available to me right now. I will check out what I have and get back to you.

The only marriage I could find on IGI was an extracted record for a John Kinvig and a Jane Cubban (sp?) for Feb 8, 1807.

My husband descends from their son Henry Kinvig and his second wife Eliza Callister. Henry's first wife was Leonora Callister who died in 1864.

Hello,
You're absolutely right the marriage I found is 1807, I don't know what happened with my brain there :-\ I have ckecked through my current data and I am unable to find a link at this time. My 4th ggmother was a Kinvig (Joney) who married a John Gawne. I know there are other Kinvig links, however I'm afraid I cannot shed any light on it at this point.
Good luck with the search.

I have seen Joney Kinvig as well but I haven't found a link to my lot as yet. Early days for me :P

If I ever find a link I'll let you know. Just like the Cubbins there a lot of Kinvig's ;D ;D ;D

Me again!
Have you explored wills to obtain information? Do you know when Jane died? There is a will number on Brian Lawson's site for a Jane Kinvig dated 1859-might be worth exploring if you've not already done it. :)
