I am trying to go as late as I can down the selby road. I have found a couple of selby families which I am hoping that someone could help me find the other children.Maybe they went else where, so hard to find.  :(

REGINOLD SELBIE  married ELIZABETH ?

children:

FRAUNCIS SELBIE c 14 jan, 1637 rempstone ntts
DANIELL SELBY  c 10 may, 1640 remsptone notts.

DANIEL SELBY  married ELIZABETH CUNNINGHAM the 14 july, 1664 rempstone ntts

CHILDREN:

FRANCIS SELBY b 8 dec, 1665 rempstone, c 14 dec, 1665 rempstone.

I am wondering in those days if all selby's  born in that time period were related and can anyone help me with this please, its getting harder i find.

Oh and yes - they do still live in Nottingham, in a village just outside of the City nowadays.  Including Grandad Selby who is 91 years  :o

Hi SM,

I have a William Selby born abt 1840, Notts who married Louisa Brooks.
They had the following children, Mary Louisa Selby, born abt 1876, Hannah Gertrude Selby, born abt 1880, Peggie Elizabeth Selby, born abt 1883 and Flora Selby born abt 1884.

They are shown on the 1881 Nottingham, St Mary Census, 12 St John's Cottages & 1891 Nottingham, St Mary Census at 5 Hague Terr, Orange Street (minus William who died abt 1887).

Don't know if there is a connection to your Selbys or not.

Regards.
