Is anybody researching the Bosworth family?

Better late than never I suppose!
I have Charles Bosworth  born c 1831 Gt Staughton.
He married Amy Pashler who was the illegitimate daughter Ann Pashler. Amy "adopted" the surname Fairey from her mother's 2nd husband (who was quite likely her father!)
Charles & Amy had 9 kids by my reckoning.
Any connections?

Yes!
Charles born 1831 son of James Bosworth born 1795 and Sarah Reed.
James is son of William Bosworth born 1751 Gt Staughton and Mary Whyman. William is my 3xgt grandfather
William was son of William Bosworth and Martha Teat.
Cannot get any further back on Bosworths, but am investigating a possible link to Northants.

Truth is I haven't followed  the Whymans?Whyments? Whatevers? at  all - just observed that there was often one or more present either lodging with or lurking nearby to my Fair(e)y lot!

What's it like being back to eating snails having just recovered from a last minute comeback at the Cricket & being thrashed by the Irish at Rugby??

I know this is a Bosworth board but...
I have a Margaret Feary married Joseph Hale  possibly Dean, Beds about 1730.
Thay had son William Hale who was the grandfather of Elizabeth Hailes who married Samuel Bosworth in Catworth in 1835. There is also a connection here to a Drage family who also seemed to have married into every family in Hunts!

If you can connect your Joseph Hale to the Hale family from Everton, Beds (but it was never sure if it was in Beds or Hunts) about 15 miles from Dean, then I can can get you back almost to Adam (ok, that's exaggerating a bit, but before the Conqueror!). I stopped following the Hale name after around 1700 when they married into my Merrill line.

Joseph Hale married Margaret Feary on 1 Jan 1733 at Dean per IGI (extracted so reliable)

Enoch HAILS eventually married Charlotte Fairey both from Gt Catworth in 1867. 

Usual family surnames swings & roundabouts.

I must have blood ties with everyone in Hunts & Beds!
Wonder how much the "Olds" knew?  New Zealand Maori can recite their Whakapapa (genealogy) for  20+ generations.  So I'd surmise they had an inkling !
