Hi Audrey,
On the Griffiths 1848 to 1864 there are 25 Lilly's in the Parish of Enniskillen. All fairly close to the town centre, except Mully Knock or the Topped Mountain which about  5 miles due east, out in the rough, as it says Topped mountain. Well, not exactly a mountain but a hill, about 600 foot up above the town. It is one one of the ways I go to Enniskillen, bog and scrubland, certainly in those days . It is beginning to be turned to cultivatable land in recent years.

Hope this helps if you need a map, Enniskillen is easy to find and look to the right of the town. The other ones are in the town area itself.

good hunting

Davies - Croydon & Hackney
Kearns - Co Tyrone, N. Ireland (also Cearns)
Magill - Co Donegal, Ireland
Whitmarsh - East Wellow, Hampshire

Ive been researching the Lilly Surname in Fermanagh for years,  without finding a definite link to my ancestors with John Lilly (b. approx 1820) or his father Denis Lilly (b. around 1800).   John left for St. Helens England around the time of the famine and showed up in the 1851 census in England.    The place of birth was stated as Ireland,  thats it.   But with alot of research I realized he and his friends and relations worked in the local chemical factories run by the Gamble brothers of Fermanagh, Ireland.  Also there are records of other Lilly families in the Enniskillen area and surrounding towns.

Is there any new readers to this post??

I couldn’t resist sending you more simple  Lilly’s from the Tithes Applotment Books 1823-1837 based upon Irish Genealogy Hub’s listing, which are quicker to lookup if you know the parish!   The relevant original books are in the
Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) Belfast
Cleenish parish is about 3 miles south of Enniskillen running east to west, aghevea ia two parishes eastwards.   Inishmacsaint is to the northwest of inniskillen running east to west for more see the map and copy it from https://www.ancestryireland.com/civil-parish-maps-for-ulster/civil-parishes-of-county-fermanagh/ with a list of the parishes,

For locations of the two Denis/Dennis Lilly below
Derins east now spelt Derreens-East is located at 54° 17' 11" N, 7° 42' 53" W.
https://www.townlands.ie/fermanagh/clanawley/cleenish/derreens-east/ Map
Leeter is located at 54° 27' 13" N, 7° 54' 5" W.see https://www.townlands.ie/fermanagh/magheraboy/inishmacsaint/letter/ Map

Comment disappointing if you hoped for Enniskillen itself
