Hi Vasaborg
Should you be interested I have in my line a John and a Martin Dower who came from Ballydermody  an adjacent townland to Ballylegat. John and Martin were convicted of highway robbery where he and Martin robbed Michael and Thomas Fitzgerald on the turnpike road one and a half miles from Waterford City.
At the trial a witness said that he had met the prisoners when "they were working for a Mr Sullevan of Ballylegat".
Just a little information which may be of some use.
