Hi Trisha

Are you doing a One Name Study on the entire family name or are you just after information on these particular individuals?  :)

If the latter is the case I will gladly move the post for you to a more relevant board which may help to generate a response for you.   Please let me have any information on possible locations (County etc.) so I can place it in the right board.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

Hi Ticker,
no I'm not doing a one name study but am looking in particular for these individuals and their ancestors  :-[.I'm sorry if you think i've placed this post on the wrong board but I just thought that if someone was doing a one name study of the Gilbert surname then they might very well have the info I needed as I've really hit a brick wall with the Gilberts.
Anyway,if you still need to move it then would you be kind enough to move it to the Lincolnshire board as they seem to have lived in Tallington which is a small village very near Stamford in South Lincolnshire.
Best wishes,
Trisha. :)

Hi Trisha

Thanks for your response.  ;)  You haven't put this on the wrong board - sorry if it sounded like that.  I just thought as you hadn't had any response that it may be because it would be better placed on the Lincolnshire Board.

Someone with Lincolnshire information will probably not look on the one name studies board to see if they can help anyone - but will look on the Lincolnshire Board.  I think it would be better on that board, but I will only move it if you are happy with that.  :D

Let me know what you think.

Best wishes
