I have recently started to trace my Huggard heritage, and can go back to Richard Huggard (b 1818) who was originally from Tralee. According to the 1851 New Brunswick census, he arrived in 1847 and was, I think, a carpenter (that writing is hard to read).  His wife Mary followed in 1850, and first son, Joseph, seems to have come a year later.

Any tips you might have for how to dig deeper into the family roots would be appreciated!
