Hello Again Tanya,

Is there perhaps an Ann John (my great grandmother) age 4 or about in 1871 born in Whitland, Carmarthenshire? If not Whitland then in another village in Carmarthenshire. Her father may be William a farmer and she may also have a brother William. Thanks.

Regards,
Lynn

Hi Lynn,

I'm not a Carmarthenshire geography expert ...

The nearest (there are other Ann's with a father William, but who work as miners) I can see is:
RG10/5505 11 11
Llanboidy, Carmarthenshire
'Lodge'

William John, head, 32, Ag lab
Hester, wife, 31
John, son, 7
Anne, dau, 5
Jonah, son, 1
Daniel, son, 1

Everybody born Llanboidy

By 1881, this William is a Railway lab  :-\ but there is a son William

Hello Tanya,

Thank you very much. This is definitely my family :D. In 1881 interestingly it looks too like William has remarried to Margaret.
