Levins Bridge
« on: Tuesday 11 April 06 13:56 BST (UK) »
I was hoping someone may be able to tell me something about Levin's Bridge Drogheda. My grandfather, Peter Moore  was born there in 1865. He was the son of Patrick Moore and Catherine Segrave.

Any information would be gratefully received. If possible some directions on how to get there from Drogheda.

Many thanks
Seymor

Hi again Karen

This is the information off the birth certificate.

Peter Moore
Born 5th April 1865 (long time ago)
at Levin's Bridge, Drogheda
District of St Mary's
Union of Drogheda
County of Meath.

Peter later married in Dublin where my Father was born.

Any information would be a bonus.

Thanks again
Seymor

I know is years ago,  but you find out where Levins Bridge is in Drogheda?

I know where it is if you still need to know.

Here is is here (at the link below - might take a few moments to load),  on the Platin Road, after viewing it in the OSI 6" historical map, you can choose "STREET MAP" in the selection on the right hand side to view it in the modern context:
