Brilliant  ;)

I had looked but couldn’t find it.

I think casmith has a lot of work to do and hope we are on the right track.
I can’t see Mary Ann Moores Lonergan in 1891 anywhere  :-\

Cheshire BMD shows the George/Catherine marriage with registrar attended or civil marriage and her previous name as Connolly which vaguely resembles the maiden name on those births. :)

Oh I am not sure.

The way I see it but I am stuck on the niece bit re Catherine

Catherine Conroy/variations married William Moore/s and had children.
One was Mary Ann b 1872 so would be very young on the marriage to Michael Lonergan if it is her.
Catherine also had a son William who Katie is also shown as niece to in 1911.

I am off out now though so feel free to work it out  :) for when I come back.

We have -

Catherine Lunergan
1893 LONERGAN   Catherine   mmn MOOR   Audenshaw   Tameside   AUD/60/2
..................

Probable birth registration of  William Moore son of William Moore & Catherine

1880 MOOR William   mmn CONROY   Audenshaw   Tameside   AUD/43/57

Catherine Conroy/William Moore marriage 1862
Catherine Moores/George Chappells marriage 1885
.......................
I think the only way is to possibly get 2/3 certificates  :'(
1893 Catherine's birth.

Then if it matches, 1889 marriage of Michael Lonergan & Mary Ann Moore 1889

Then maybe William Moores & Catherine Conroy 1862.

It does look as though the family connection between Catherine Chappells & Catherine Lonergan is on the Moor/e/s side.

Thanks Janeharvey
This is the same family as I have just spoken to my mum and she can confirm that she can remember her mum talking about a grandma Gregory she must of been married before her name changed to Gregory as the two children were cummins and I think that George cummins (son) is my Nana's dad. thanks so much.

If I recall, I think the Gregory connection is through remarriage of George Cummins mother.

Thank you everyone for all your help. I’m still scraping my head with this. Will keep on chipping away at it and I’m sure I’ll figure out something.
