Oh, the pleasures of the 1841 continue!

Amongst dozens of centenarians indexed in the 1841 census by Ancestry, I wonder if any Rootschatter can claim descent from William Taplin,  at that time living in the Basingstoke Union Workhouse?

If so, they are lucky indeed, since at a stroke  it takes their tree back to c1731, since he is listed as being 110 years old.

This one does, at least, appear accurate, since he's sandwiched between an 81 year old and a 60 year old.  Some of the others listed in the index are the usual youngsters masquerading as their elders, under the guise of an Ancestry mistranscription!
