Coming to Jersey, help needed beforehand please!
« on: Friday 05 May 06 14:18 BST (UK) »
Hello!
I am visiting Jersey with my husband and baby girl for a few days in June (can't wait!) We were also  hoping to be able to pay our respects to some of my husband's ancestors. Can anyone tell me how I could try and find out where they are buried before we come?  My husband's surname is Prout, he is descended from Edmund Prout who came to Nottingham (where we live) from Jersey around 1880. We would like to visit the graves of his parents: Thomas Prout who managed to die aged approx 44 of hyperthermia due to drunkeness in July 1865 (death recorded in November) and Elizabeth C Prout (photo attached) who died aged approx 69 in december 1894. They both lived in St Helier when they died.

Many thanks for any help
Shelley Prout
