Pam, i'm wondering if this Ann is mine as i have Joseph still alive on the 1901 census and living at Belmont durham with his son, however the Market Rasen is the exact place of his birth .

thanks Pam.

Hi,
I know this chat dates back a l couple of years, but if anyone is listening, I would be very interested in learning more about Scotts living in Pocklington and the surrounding area, and especially anone with links to the building trade. My grandfather and great grandfather (Herbert Scott and William Scott) migrated from Pocklington, UK, to Adelaide, Australia, in 1912. They continued the family business when they arrived in Australia, and together with my father (also William, and now 83 years of age), had a very successful building business until the 1960s. In Australia, they were joined by a family relative (by marriage), Guy Steele. I would love to hear from anyone related to this line of the family.
