Dolly - another name could be???

Hi there,

Dolly HUDSON  was born about 1910 , Aston  or Birmingham.... think she may have died about 1939.. cant find her birth or death....

 so maybe Dolly was a nick name, what other name could be dolly for short,,,,

Any ideas, guesses, anything...

My aunt Dolly was born Dorothy Jane, so yours should be Dorothy

My dolly was a very pretty lady, very much like her mum in the photo i have there.

I am still having no luck.... i have a photo of her, so i know she is real...

We have a friend called Dolly, who's name is probably Spanish; Dolores.

Just confirming that I've also known Dorothys who ended up as Dolly.  Did she marry; that cert. should have a 'real' name.

However, I searched for a gt aunt Queenie for some time only to find out that it was a nickname....she was really Ada!

My aunty Dolly was really called Doris, she married Dick but it wasn't until Dolly died at the age of 87 that I found out that Dick was actually called Arthur :o
