Hi Jean and Welcome to Rootschat,   :D

I've gone through the Census twice incase i missed something the first time around but i cant find your Lancasters at all living in King St.  Can i ask where you got the street name from in the first place?   If it was the 1871 Census then they could have moved.

sorry about that

Fitty

Hello Fitty,

Your search twice through is very much appreciated. Thank you for the welcome to Rootschat.

King Street address was sent to me by cousin LANCASTER and said to be taken from 1841 census.  The family arrived in Bradford 1826/1827.

It would seem to be a big stretch to find them at the same address with folks so often on the move.

John LANCASTER bap. 1801 at Darlington died 1874 at Horton.  occ Woolsorter.

It would be good to pin-them down....?

I,m sorry i could'nt find them.  There is actually a Little Horton and a Greater Horton and i checked both.   If you can find someone with a Name index for Braford then that would make the searching so much easier.  I do know there is someone but i cant remember who.
