Surname Interest
« on: Sunday 21 May 06 19:21 BST (UK) »
Hi, has anybody got an interest in Rodger's from Peebleshire please, I have traced mine to Traquair at the end of the 18th century I think.

Would be very interested in hearing from anybody with the same surname interest.

Hi Anna

I have a Beatrice Rogers who married Robert Fowler (not sure of date).  As far as I'm aware they had one son, William.

Robert's father was a Coachman at Traquair House.  Unfortunately I do not have much on Robert, Beatrice or their son William.  Robert was born in 1876 in Scarthingwell, Yorkshire.

Let me know if this means anything although I don't think our dates tie up.

Hi Sharon, sorry I didn't get back to you straight away, have just come back from a week's holiday in Dorset including dabbling in a bit of familyhistory and meeting a distant relative. I have a Andrew Rodger from Traquair who I think was born in 1798, father James, although I haven't managed to find Andrew's death yet, he's a bit of a mystery!. We might be related somewhere along the line though, you never know!

Thanks anyway

Anna
