A Christian name or 'family' name?

You expect me to remember and reproduce my searches!!  Hmmmm ...

There are heaps of John SMART marriages on FreeBMD.  I certainly wouldn't have been about to go through them all and look at all the females on the same pages.

So I suspect it was from entering SMART John as the name, and trying TOTTERDELL in the spouse's surname - and there is only one hit!  Well, that was an obvious first try; given that middle name of Totterdell, one had to suspect that John's wife's maiden name was TOTTERDELL thus leading to their son's middle name (ditto grandson).

Have fun with the magic tape as you try to piece together all the A4 printouts!

I could do with an extra memory as mine is a bit dodgy these days!!!
Also i think the old brain is sliding downhill rapidly too because i really should have thought of trying  Totterdell as his wife's maiden name.
