I am trying to trace Richard Woosnam baptised 22/3/1821 in Llandinam. Does he appear on any Census?

Thanks for the info RuthieB.

Is this from the 1841 census? A lot of the family were from the Llandinam/Llanidloes/Trefeglwys area, but this particular family member seems to have slipped through the net.  I have been unable to discover his marriage and thought that if I could discover were he was at various times, ie the census years, I may be able to find out.

regards

Hi Dave,
yes, that was the 1841. There are a fair few Woosnams in the area I think.

As a slight aside. Ian Woosnam, the golfer is from there. Any relation?

The short answer is - probably.  My tree goes back to Francis b1772, Ian's goes back to William b 1770, both in Llandinam.  The 1700s are a bit murkey - there are too many men called Francis and Wiiliam.

hi guys am a woosnam descandt too from Llandinam and am pretty sure that Ian's in my line.  would be interested to hear from all of you with your trees please.  I have three different trees of Woosnams all from Llandinam and have been trying along with others to tie them together.
