beale and kerr
« on: Wednesday 07 June 06 08:22 BST (UK) »
hi can any kind person help.
I have just found the birth index of some missing family.
margaret kerr b 1807 father named as francis davis kerr she was widow of james george rogers of rathaspick wexford.he was killed abt 1840
she married a john beale b 1821
i cannot find their marriage but the australian birth index mentions that their 2 children
john beale 1846
and sarah beale 1849 were both born in dublin.

I have been unable to verify the death of james george rogers who was supposedly killed in "the riots" he was again supposedly a member of the constabulary.

I have come to a real dead end with this family any help on margaret kerr/ rogers/beal and her both husbands would be much appreciated.

just an update there is a possibility that margaret kerr's father was Francis Davis. not Francis Davis Kerr...
Kerr may have been the name of another husband?, as the death reg states her father is Francis Davis.....

Or perhaps the informant forgot about the name Kerr and said her father was Francis Davis.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

yes that is a strong possibility as well death reg are very unreliable..........family researchers have been led very astray in our family research due to wrong first names and also wrong surnames eg jane burningham instead of hannah burningham.....rebecca campbell instead of rebecca scammell...wyatt instead of hyatt and the list goes on

You might care to look up John Beale on the WikiTree website. I'm a direct descendant, John Beale of Shelton Park, Dublin, being my great grandfather, and I've been putting together some information on him and his Australian family. My WikiTree ID is Croll-284.
