Wells - 1841 Census Lookup please

Looking for Marion/ Miriam/ Mary Ann Wells born 1816/17 Llannelly. 

I think she may be the daughter of John and Margaret Wells. (IGI has a Mary Ann Wells bp 1816 Llanelly daughter of John and Margaret Wells).

She appears as Miriam Penduck nee Wells on the birth certificate of daughter Ann in 1849 but as Marion Penduck on all the census from 1851 to 1881 - just to confuse me!

Have not found her marriage to John yet or the births of the other children John 1854, or Thomas b1855.

Any information very gratefully received!

Hi - I found the same family as Annie!

I would say the address is Park Street (see next page for clearer writing) and John is a gardener.

There is also a Margaret WELLS aged 20 in Llanelly - maybe another variation of her name?  She is a female servant: difficult to say whose household she is in, but it is in Park Street too.

Modified: had a look at the IGI and there is a sibling Margaret - possibly the Margaret BOWEN Annie has found in 1851?

Thank you both for that - looks as if Mary Ann/Marion/Miriam had left home by 1841. She is probably in Gloucestershire somewhere since that is where her husband was from, I shall keep looking!  I think Margaret is her younger sister - per the IGI, siblings of Mary Ann with dates of birth were Edward 1832, Margaret 1821, John 1826, Richard 1832 and Ann 1824.

Any idea where in Gloucestershire?  Couldn't see her at first glance, although there is a Mary WELLS in Badminton.

Arranroots, that is probably my girl - John Penduck who she married was from Great Badminton - the Penducks seem to have been local to the area forever.

Found the marriage in Bristol in 1842 has transcibed Penduck as Pendrick and Mary Ann/Miriam/Marion/Mary is now Marian - knowing where to look helped.  Thanks
