Hello

As they were married in 1845, you should find them as a couple on the 1851 Canada census. It is available online, but not indexed. It means searching the census sheet pages.

If they were the ones on the 1881 census, a farming family living in Kamouraska and Basilice was born in Kamouraska, they are more then likely going to be in this place for the 1851 census. Farmers were tied to the land so to speak. You can search the census sheets for Kamouraska on these two websites below. If you know the parish, you can narrow it down even better :

data4.collectionscanada.ca/netacgi-etc-etc---

data4.collectionscanada.ca/netacgi/-etc-etc---

Maybe you will luck out and the parents lived nearby as I found with my families.

Good luck,
Linda

Thanks for the info. I do have I beleive all the children of Pierre Roy Desjardins from his three wifes.Did a quick check on Augustin and I see his name change to Lauzier, now to connect my Basilice to that line.
Am slowly building my Michaud and Desjardins website.
