Thomas Evans LLechryd
« on: Friday 16 June 06 13:15 BST (UK) »
Hello
Hello

Can somebody please look at the registers for Llechryd for 1842/43

I am looking for a birth certificate for Thomas Evans fathers name John , mothers name Ann

On the 1851 census they are living in Llechryd at a house called Rhiwfelin which still exists.

I have looked at the BMD but there are so many Thomas Evans born in Cardigan for that period .  I am hoping that someone can narrow it down for me so that I can send for a certificate

Thank you

Sylvia

Cant help determine which Thomas is yours as there are lots of them born around the same time, but have found family on 1841 with another daughter, still in Llechryd;
John Evans age 35 born in county occ; mason
Anne Evans age 35 not in county
Anne Evans age 2 born in county
John Evans age 6 born in county
Mary Evans age 8 born in county.

Hello

Thanks for the information that is the right family.  The reason I was wanting a birth certificate for Thomas was to determine his mothers maiden name.  As you say there are so many Thomas's for that period it is difficult to accertain which certificate to send for.
