Do you know what orphanages would have been in existance 1912 to 1917 in London? My father was born April 5, 1912 at Queen Charlottes Hosptial, St. Mary, St Marylebone, London. His mother was unwed and although he was born in London her residence was Market Place, Wilton, Wiltshire. He always told us that he lived in an orphanage until the age of 5 when he went to live with a family named Colebourn (Timothy and Edith). I found their marriage in Wilton in 1908 so I would think his mother new them. According to my fathers WW#2 papers he went to school in West New Hampshire England. He emmigrated to Canada at age 15. I am quessing that he probably stayed in London ? Sorry I don't know the geography in England that well, so i have no idea how close these areas are.
Clarke, Colebourne, Stembridge, Tucker, Scriven, Rose, Sibley, Holland

Wilton Wiltshire, Crewkerne Somerset, Sommerton
