I realized a lot of the birth places etc. do not match, but others do....

Greta?, wife, female, white, age 19, b California, father born Indiana, mother born Oklahoma. Married at age 19.
1920 Census also shows a Thomas CARLYON living in Kern County, Bakersfield, just a tad older than John.
