I would be pleased to hear from anybody related to my Dolgellau grandfather's family:

Parents :
Griffith HUMPHREYS 1868 -1939 and Mary Jane JONES 1866 - aft 1901

Siblings:
Edward Jones HUMPHREYS born 1888.
Elizabeth Jane HUMPHREYS 1892.-1968.
Gwen HUMPHREYS born1906.

Grand Parents Paternal:
John HUMPHREYS 1831- abt 1814 and Jane WILLIAMS 1842- 1900.

John HUMPHREYS and Jane WILLIAMS also had the following children:
Elizabeth HUMPHREYS born 1871
John HUMPHREYS 1874-1915 (WW1)
Evan HUMPHREYS born 1876.
Hugh Thomas HUMPHREYS 1881-1918 (WW1)

David JONES 1834 (in Star, PEM).  - 1894 and Catherine JONES 1835 (in Newtown, MGY) - 1905

David JONES and Catherine JONES also had the following children:

Hello I have only just accessed this site. My maternal grandfather was Hugh Thomas  Humphreys. He for some reason was in Portsmouth where he married my grandmother Lilian. They had three daughters but sadly he died in Iraq in 1918.

Sorry, when I posted the original message, Rootschat was in it's infancy, and my message was just a "test" one to see if the site worked. Not having had any response I decided that it wasn't a site for me, and gave up on it. I rejoined Rootschat under my present username in August 2004.

I am a bit overwhelmed to receive a response to such an old message 11 years later, and thanks to Tom from the RootsChat admin team, who e-mailed the details, knowing that I probably wouldn't find them through the usual response channels.

Hugh was my Grandfather's Uncle, my father Hugh was named after him as is my son Deiniol Huw.
