Hi Jola,

I went to the library this morning,  but was not able to find yours in the time I was allowed,  however that was only allowed 1 hour on the machine as they are so busy.  l will go again on Monday am.  I am not working next week,  so I am confident we will sort it out.  ;D

Thanks Kazza, cross fingers that you find something and I'll work on the others while I wait.  Just had contact with someone last night that has given me 5 more generations for another line so I have heaps to do if you don't get a chance to do it :-)

Thank-you Rhys, much appreciated.
I now have another child in the family tree I didn't know about.

I noticed John Edwin's mother who was with him in 1851 is not there.
Her name was Elizabeth Hope (she'd be about 61) from Little Mansel, HEF according to the 1851.  I think she was married to John Edwin Clerk Hope also.

I'd like to keep open a request to look for her in the 41 in case it provides more clues.  I'm not worried how long this takes as I have tons of other lines to work through now.

Thanks to yourself and Kazza for all your help with this family line.  I am reading Kilverts diaries this Xmas as I have found some references to this extended family in the book.

Thanks Rhys,

Looks like you have given me another family member to chase up.  Thanks for your efforts.

Thanks for all this as it has helped me to discover that Joseph Ward and Fanny Hope were my great great grandparents. My Nana was called Dorothy Hope Ward and this explains why.
