Raels
ask your sister to drop in at the Shipley Glen visitor center. They may have extra information. They have historic photos etc of the area.
best of luck
Dave

Hey Raels,
Gave up trying to get into Chat.
Just wanted to say what a fantastic find from Dave.
Lucky, lucky you... Brilliant, I wondered if the farmers were your rellies.
   Take care, Lesanne.

I'm new to this site.. I'm related to you. My mother Eunice was born at Crook Farm 1911. You must be descendant of her brother Jack (John).  She visited Oz in 1972, Think it was 72.    I have a lot of info and pics... but tied up with serious illness in our family just now. Plus a new baby to add to family this week if all goes well!  The man with the cattle is my grandfather.  The family in the photo includes my mother and sibling.  I cannot send more pics for some long time as my daughter in law is very ill but Maybe sometime.. My grandparent well known respected people who as well as the small farm sold afternoon teas to people who walked to them from the town's.  It was a very popular thing pre WWI.  During the war their business dropped off and the farm was sold but later owned by my aunt who developed the camping and opened a shop.  I loved going to stay as a child. My uncle taught me to handle his horse, care for cattle and pigs, poultry etc!!  He was a Lancaster, too.  A marriage of first cousins.  I have been in touch with Edna and Geoffrey fairly recently!

Hi Raels,
Did you ever hear more about Crook Farm? My mother grew up there (the other lady who posted is her cousin). Mum sometimes mentioned we had relatives in Australia, but wasn't too clear on the details.
