James Cushnie died in 1859, aged 61, Feteresso GROS Ref 256-76

So far I have been unable to find any info on Hel(l)en after 1851 - census, re-marriage, death and no baptismal record - under either surname. Could this have been a second marriage, given her age (b.c. 1811)?

I'll keep looking.

I've looked for Helen in a number of sources but can't find her yet  :(

I'll put a thinking cap over my head and see if I can come up with something  :)

Hello,

Found this in the pre 1855 gravestone index for Fetteresso.

Wm Milne Blacksmith Windyedge 7.1.1854, w Jane Cushnie 23.3.1889 82.

I wondered if it could be a relative.

Hi  :)

I am related to the William Milne who is mentioned above as marrying Jane/Jean Cushnie.

She was born in 1807 at Maryculter and her parents were Alexander Cushnie and Agnes Fife.

Get in touch if you want me to give you further details.

Regards
