1841 census lookup please Long Shot

Hi my 3x grandfather John Hamilton was a labourer Edinburgh in the 1841 census he would  have been about 64yrs old sorry i dont have any more about him.I am keen to trace more about him so any info would be great

Hi Kate

If you go to http://freecen.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl    It's FREE :)

and select 1841 and Edinburgh and put in the information you've given - with a 60 +/- 5 age and, you'll find that there are two John Hamilton's. One is a mason and the other is a 55-59 year old porter, living in the St Cuthbert's area.  You will be able to look at others living in the same household as well.
