PREST / PRIEST family at Cranborne
« on: Friday 22 September 06 13:38 BST (UK) »
I'm wondering if anybody might have any connection to the family of Henry PREST (born about 1776, died 20 July 1844) and Catherine BUNGY (born about 1797, buried 25 May 1878).  They were married at Cranborne on 26 July 1818.  Children that I know of are:  George, Charles (my ancestor), John, Jane, James, Elias, Ann, Jane, Ellen.  Catherine remarried in 1852 to James Baker.

Incidentally, Henry served from 1800 to 1812 in the 95th Regiment of Foot, and from 1812 to 1814 in the 5th Royal Veterans Battalion.

- David.
Some of my surname interests in the UK:
HOBBS and LINTERN (in Ditcheat, Somerset)
PREST / PRICE / PRIEST (in Cranborne, Dorset)
PIKE (in Poole, Dorset as well as Portsmouth, Hampshire)

I am a volunteer administrator for the Pike/Pyke DNA Project...
