Books Mexborough re Photographer - Maurice Medcalf

Maurice Medcalf owned Medcalf's Studios on Hope Street in Mexborough, Rotherham from 1916 - 1921 and later at 59a High St, Mexborough, Rotherham, Yorks from 1921 - 36. A kind volunteer gave me the marriage registry page to order. Maurice Medcalf & Hannah Ridgeway married Sep quarter Doncaster 1909. I have a photo of them and their daughter's wedding photo.

Perhaps there are references to the business or family in local books. Looking for anything including daughter 'Nina' born after 1909. (I understand she was adopted)

I notice you have them operating up until 1936, we can stretch that to much later as I have a photo of my Aunt and two children done by Medcalfs of Mexborough that is dated 22 June 1944,

By the way it may be worth checking the records if available of the South Yourkshire Times, or as it was then The Mexborough and Swinton Times.

Just to confirm, yes, South Yorkshire Times still operating from their offices in Mexborough (27-29 High Street)
