I don’t know if you have tried Ros Davies Co Down website use Google
Daniel MURRAY   Kilmegan  a grocer in Castlewellan in 1846 POD
Very Rev. Canon Henry MURRAY . Kilmegan & Bright born 12 Oct 1874, Slievenisky, son of Patrick Murray & Margaret Lennon; ordained 1899; parish priest at Killough 1925- 1933 then St Mary's, Newcastle 1933-1955  Sheila DadsonMiss Jane MURRAY . Kilmegan b. 8 Jul 1876 at Clanvaraghan; daughter of Patrick Murray & Margaret Lennon; married Robert McManus in 1907; mother of Hugh b. 1908 & Jessie b. 1910 (married Hugh Fitzpatrick, of Kilcoo ) & Patrick b. 1912 (all b. Another success will be at
www.familysearch.com  for Murrays isvery hard work after 5000 entries it allows you to refine search to just Co Down, but Kilmegan is not a search success, others exist with patience. I spotted Clough several times

Hi, I have just started researching the Murray family from Slievenisky.  I have a Bridget Murray who came to the US with her 2 cousins Rose and Mary Ann Savage in 1905. She gave her date of birth as 1882.  Rose and Mary Ann's mother was Mary Ann Murray who married Hugh Savage  in Slievenisky. I am wondering if any of these people ring a bell with you. Would love to hear from you.  Thank you.

Hi,
Hugh Savage married Mary Ann Murray in Clanvaraghan Roman Catholic Church, Downpatrick on 15 May 1877. I can find two children, John b 1 Mar 1878 and Rose b 28 Jul 1879.

Thank you for the information you sent me on the children of Hugh and Mary Ann Murray. Is she in the same family that you are researching?  I have come to a  brick wall on the Murray family.  I am trying to find out who  Bridget Murray's father  and mother is.  Thanks for all your help

Lily,
No, no connection. Just helping to chip away your brick wall. I have one very tentative name. A Bridget Murray who was born on 21 Jul 1880 in Magherascouse to Hugh and Rose Murray. I also have the marriage of Hugh Murray and Mary Rose Murray on 11 Oct 1871 in Carrickmannon , Kilmood Roman Catholic Church, Newtownards. Remember this is extremely tentative.
