Madden Family Antrim 1901Census Oldstone Muckamore McErlean Link
« on: Thursday 28 September 06 11:03 BST (UK) »
Looking for any information on the Madden family in Antrim which I have only researched a small amount.

I have a 1901 census for Margaret Madden a widow [probably Margaret McCrorey who married Daniel Madden 1857 and had a Patrick 1857 Tannaghmore].  She is living in Oldstone near Muckamore Antrim with daughter widow Martha McErlean and Granddaughter Ellen McErlean.  Son Felix. Granddaughter Charlotte Madden and Grandson William Madden.

Also Interested in

Patrick Madden [is this Patricks son above?] and Matilda Wiley married 1885 with at least the following Felix 1894 [married Jeannie McCool Glasgow] Patrick 1885 and William James 1887 in Oldstone Antrim near Muckamore.  Also Matilda Mary, John Henry, and Daniel [married Ellen or Helen Ward in Glasgow].  Connections to Fountain Street in Antrim.

Links to McGarry family.

A Daniel Madden aged 3 1890s attends Islandbawn National School from Islandreagh
A John Madden attends same school 1897 aged 4 from Antrim
William James Madden attends same school 1891 aged 3 father Labourer Iveagh?

Census 1901 Castle Street [previously Bow Lane?] Antrim - Another Madden Family Who are they?

William Madden Carpenter 25 with wife Rose 24 and Son Bernard 2 and Daughter Mary 10.  James McNally Plasterer and Boarder present.  Probably Rose Gilmore or Gilmour as Williams Wife.
