Father thought to be John Jarvis Green also

John later emigrated to Australia and died 1908 Northcote Victoria.

There's not a great deal to go on here... and you don't say when he might've emigrated. In 1871 there's one John Green who is close to this one's age... John Green, Born Prescot, aged 48 and living in Rainhill. He's a pavier and living with wife, Ann (46) and children: Thomas, 20. Mary, 17, Dressmaker. Elizabeth, 14. John, 12, Filemaker's Apptc. Ellen, 9. Joseph, 5. James, 2. They are also with John's brother-in-law, James Monks aged 25, Bread Maker.

I'm struggling to make out the address, but it's in St Annes, and the ref is RG10 3860.

At this stage, I won't check for 1891 or 1901 census entries for him, as I assume that emigration would be likely before 1891, as he was 70 by then.
