Trying to find marriage records
« on: Saturday 07 October 06 10:31 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find my Great Grandmothers marriage records.

Helen Christina Honey (born in 1907 - Goring on Thames, Oxfordshire)  married Albert Barnett (born in 1907 - Blackwater, Surrey)

Is there any way of finding them without the great expense of buying credits, I have done this in the past - spending a great deal of money without finding what I was looking for.

Any suggestions are very much appreciated

Claire

Hi Claire and welcome to Rootschat!

Helen C Honey m Albert J Barnett
Bradfield
March Qtr 1925
Vol 2c Page 591

You can order this online here if you wish: http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/

For future reference these indexes are currently free here to browse http://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/rectype/vital/freebmd/bmd.aspx (always choose the complete index as the FreeBMD is partial)

p.s. I just happened to be looking for a marriage for myself in the same years, so checked yours at the same time.

Regards
Biker

Don't know which records you got into but mine are useless!
Working from known items I gave that site another go,I had given up in disgust previously,AND same results this time.
I'm seriously thinking the Men in Black are at work on my searche's!!!
