I've just come across your entry, I've not been on here for a vERY long time!

The Levi and Maria Thomas family from Llanllawer are on my family tree.

Their son DAVID 1851 to 1916 was my great great grandfather

coincidently their daughter Maria b 1854  was second wife to my great great grandfather on the other side of my dad's tree!.. his first wife being mother to my great grandmother!

Many thanks for you response

Since my original enquiry way back in 2006 I have found some additional info, whilst I have not purchased all certificates due to cost I hope that the info I have traced is correct.

Levi THOMAS died July 1913 in Pembroke Dock. I have been unable to establish when or where Levi’s 1st wife Maria died.

Levi married Mary Lewis 1862 Haverfordwest, Mary died Oct 1885 in Haverfordwest.

Levi and Maria’s children are

Lettice, she married Thomas William Stephens, she died Aug 1925 Pembroke Dock.
David who married Mary Griffiths, he died Feb 1927 Skewen, Glamorganshire
Benjamin, my G Grandfather, died 1916 in NSW Australia

Levi and Mary’s children are

Mary Ann who married William George Finn, known as George Edmund Finn, she died April 1930 Horfield, Bristol
Elizabeth Mary who married James Palmer, think she died in Rosemarket
Catherine who married James Philpin. They lived in Portsmouth, Hampshire

I don't know if there is a connection to you Phillips

Regards

Cass

Being a witness to my kin suggested LEVI was a friend or associated with the PHILLIPS family in some way.Its nice to know that he was in attendance when the marriage of DANIEL PHILLIS to ANNE REES took place in LLANLLAWER parish May 20th 1839.
