Jenkins family of Vaynor
« on: Saturday 28 October 06 06:42 BST (UK) »
Dear list,    I was kindly given the Jenkins family of Vaynor around 1776 before with no matches.

I have the marriage of Frances Jenkins to John Owen at Vaynor on 13th September 1820 so I guess the family were living there at that time.

Please would someone be kind enough to see if there are the following Jenkins baptisms at Vaynor with father Richard Jenkins and mother Ann nee Moss

Thomas c 1815
Isaac c 1811
Richard c 1808 (became High Constable for Wentloog)
George 1802
William c 1808
Sarah 1814
Eliza 1817
Frances c 1804
John 1816 (died as an infant)

thank you
Diana
John c 1820

My great grandparents maried on October 19th 1876 - Daniel Jenkins (38) and Gwenllian Lewis (22) - Daniel originates from Vaynor, Penderyn - a farmer. His father is John Jenkins a farmer of Vaynor. If anyone has any information I would be really grateful. Thanks. Paul

Thank you for the Bedwelty parish record of Richard Jenkins family - I had actually found them some time ago.     I have this family now and need not trouble you any more.     The were originally from Glamorgan and had come to Tredegar via the Forest of Dean.
