Ellis Family Pen y Mynydd

Hi is there anyone can help out there. Trying to Locate info on an Ellis Family listed on 1871 1881 Census' as living at Pen y Mynydd in Dymerchion and Maenefa.
We have searched for a long time for a Sarah Ann Davies which is the name we have found of a grandmother. New light has been shed  via POW papers that her name was Ellis.
The Ellis family seem to be a large family . It shows the head of family as Maria originally from Henllan (sp)
If any one has this info in there tree or knows anything about the area and could help we would be exremely grateful.
