McTavish - Help!

Hi

I have been tracing my family which emigrated to Australia. Basically this is what I have found so far. Donald McTavish married Jane/Jean Taylor.
Jane/Jean Taylor was born in Dumfries according to her Aust. death cert. They emigrated to Aust. on The Wanata Oct 1852 with children Duncan McTavish (1849), John McTavish (1842), Sarah McTavish (1845), Janet McTavish (1839). This is the only info I have been able to find - I usually find info on scotlandspeople.gov.uk but have had no luck with this one!

Any help would be much appreciated.

You can search 1851 census for Dumfries if it helps

Excellent - thanks for that info. I never have a really good time with familysearch.org but I will see how I go with this!!
