Hi Jamjar

So, the 1841 family in Killearnan is yours! The births in Contin 1812-19 look also to be to this couple (they are the only ones showing in R & C). Of the 3 I posted, only Jean's in 1821 is an actual extract, the others are submitted entries.

Have you got details of (all) their children?

The submitted birth entries on IGI for Mr & Mrs in Contin are no use at all are they! You also have an estimated marriage year of 1809, if correct, there may have been an earlier child before Ann in 1811.

Have you viewed Finlay's death cert post 1861 and if so, what are the names of his parents?

Greetings,

I only have all those we have mentioned between us.

There was also an illigit son, Hector Kemp, born to daughter Margaret. One would have thought she would have learned from older sister Ann.

I have Finlay's death information and that is how I got his parent's names.

I have nothing on Margaret Grant

I think it odd that they don't have children Kenneth, Finlay and Christy.

Kenneth and Christy - nee Cameron - are Finlay's folk.

Night from Australia.

Atkinson; Badier; Cameron; Grant; Howie; Jardine; Jenkins; Kerr; Lawardorn; Lee; Linton; Lonie; McConnell; Morgan; Morrison; Murphy; O'Leary; Paton; Pratt; Robb; Williams

Hi there,

What year was that from?

It would explain the daughter Mary.

Is there any way of knowing if it is really his parents?

Where does one find death information for years 1851-55?

Night again. Really going this time.

Many thanks for your help.

Found Roots Chat by accident today.  Was doing work on Mgt Grant yesterday.  She is my 3x gt grandmother.

At the moment I have 6 chn for her - Duncan abt 1809 by death age, Mgt, Ann and Mary, Jean and John from the correspondence on this site.  If Mary and Jean are hers, there should be a couple of others between them  and John.
I haven't done a lot of research, but in relation to this family I have seen Free Church mentioned, so was wondering if those records are somewhere different.

John Morrison is believed to have gone to Australia.
I also think it odd there is no Kenneth in Findlay's chn, but then there is the gap in years from 1814-1819.

Anyone caring to contact me or write to this chat re the family I would be interested to hear from you.

Hello, I live on the Tropic in sunny Qld.  A descendant of Mgt Cameron who lives in NZ told me about John.
We are both trying to put all the Cameron stuff together along with a descendant of Flora Crow who was my gt grandmother's sister.

If you want to chat ie email off line. we will have to work out something.
