Liverpool/Edith Selig
« on: Sunday 22 February 04 22:34 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to discover where in Liverpool Edith Selig was living in 1901.
Born Liverpool 1879, still there in 1901 and unmarried.

Appreciate any help I can get.   This lady was related to my great grandmother.
Thanks
June

Hi! June

You may have this info from the 1901 census.  I checked with the decoder, but it does not give addresses, but it did give me the following info...  Living in Liverpool at the time of the 1901 census
Rogina Selig    Age 47  B. Warwicks/Birmingham
Edith Selig      Age 22   B. Liverpool
Lilian Selig      Age 20   B. Liverpool
Harold Selig   Age 19    B. Liverpool

Harold was a mechanical engineer

There is also Selig in Yorks, Middlesex and London on the 1901 census.

Catheriine:
Many thanks for taking the time to reply to my query.
Your discovery turned up some new avenues for me.
Although I am sure that these folks are related, I don't think that the younger two were siblings of Edith.
When this Edith was only two years old, she was boarding with an entirely different family in Liverpool,
namely the Bruce family from Scotland.
The plot thickens!!

Thanks again and I appreciate your help
June
