I am looking for information please about the parents and siblings of James Rossiter born circa 1848 in Carmarthen.

He married Catherine Thomas in the June Qtr of 1879 at Neath.

Hi Cas,

thanks for that, saves me duplicating work you've already done. I did find a possible death for Thomas sep qtr 1851 Carmarthen vol 26 pg 376 so he should be on the 1851 but I can't see him.

Thanks for that. It looks like my two separate enquiries from the 1881 Census have turned out to be two members of the same family.

Do I assume that the Thomas born 1816 in the other thread is Mary's husband, who was born out of county?

Indeed he was, and it looks like it might be difficult to find out where he came from unless someone can spot him in 1851, away from his young family
