SEEBY - Hertfordshire

I am researching on behalf of my husband's aunt who's father was James SEEBY b. 1907 Ware, Herts.  His parents are John Seeby b. 1863 Wormley, Ware, Herts and Louisa CLARK b. 1868 Littlewick Green, Berkshire.  John Seeby's parents are Thomas Augustus SEEBY b. 1831 Enfield, Middx and Amelia MUNNS (nee BRADSHAW).  On the 1841 Census - Augustus Seaby is living with grandparents George and Elizabeth Seaby in Edmonton, Cheshunt.

Also cannot find John Seeby on the 1901 Census - his wife Louisa has been incorrectly transcribed as Suby.

Not sure what information you want (except for the 1901 census)

Also I note from the BMD records that Louisa's name is spelt with an E - Clarke!

I also see a death of John Henry Seeby aged 7 in Dec q/r 1902 in Hertford - and another in Mar 1899 of William George Seeby in Ware - are these yours?
(Just seen they are more likely Thomas Seeby's (b1850) kids!

Interesting to note that her brother is down as born in Wormley!!

The mystery continues, this John Seeby b. 1863 Wormley, Herts is not on the 1891 or the 1901 Census - any ideas where he could be?

My maiden name was Seeby with my father who would have been 91 years old coming from Ware in Hertordshire,
with a christian name of Edward (Ted) and although I know little about his family and life before meeting my mother he seemed to know all the Ware/Hertford area and countryside.  I do know his mother was buried in Ware Graveyard although I am yet to find her grave and that his father come from the Work House just down the road from there. He had a 1/2 brother Tom who had two children and lived in Hertford and also a sister (name forgotten)
and several daugthers.

Do you have any other names I could go on?  What are the names of the father and mother?  Sounds like these could be connected.

I know its many years since you posted this but John Seeby was in the Army (Bedfordshire Regt) from 1884 to 1902.  I am fairly sure in 1901 he would have been in South Africa...2nd Boer War.

As a matter on Interest in 1914 at the age of 51 he re-enlisted and did demobe until 1919 or 1920.
